Four-handed massage is a massage where two therapists work on you at the same time, mirroring each others’ movements. For instance, both your legs or arms are being massaged at the same time. One therapist works on the right side of your back while the other works on the left.
When done well, four-handed massage feels like you are completely enveloped in sensation and can be quite a wonderful experience.
Couples massage is a service offered where two people (usually, but not always, couples), are massaged side-by-side on separate tables and by separate providers. It adds a social element to massage.
Its social, its fun and it saves time as you are not waiting for your partner to get massaged after you have finished.
Both services require bookings and are strictly non sexual.
Thai Massage is the King of all Massage Therapy. The true practice of the art of healing in traditional nuad boran (thai massage) is the compassionate intent of the healer. The Buddhist spiritual practices associated with Thai massage cultivate humility, awareness, and concentration in the healer, designed to bring the practitioner to a deeper level of awareness of herself and the client. This compassionate state of being is termed “metta”, which usually translates as “loving kindness”.
Thai culture is the wellspring of modern massage therapies, and is much more than what is typically considered massage in the West, which accounts for its appeal and attraction to visitors to Thailand. It combines many different techniques into one all-encompassing system, drawing particularly on acupressure, reflexology, and assisted yoga postures.
Typically, a deep calm ensues as the massage progresses, as the recipient enters a meditative state and bonds with the massage therapist. The body relaxes, the joints loosen, the muscles stretch, and done properly, the body undergoes a transformation as the healing begins. Regular sessions are important if one is to maximise the benefits of this technique.
